I was interested to read this dog and cat news article about pet insurance - our vet at dogs and cats had just responded to question on his thoughts on pet insurance so it was good timing. Depending on the provider and the inclusions, pet policies range from $17 a month for basic cat cover and about $30 a month for basic dog cover up to about $50 a month for comprehensive cover with all the bells and whistles.
Ms Butler says the average claim coming through PetPlan is about $700, but it’s not uncommon to see bills of around $2000."
